Cedars Trading & Contracting is a Doha-based custom furniture studio serving Qatar since 2011. We design, build, and install bespoke pieces in our own workshop — sofas, dining tables, beds, wardrobes, Majlis seating, and statement furniture, all hand-built for the spaces they’re made for.
We are a manufacturing studio, not a reseller. Every piece is made by our own carpenters, upholsterers, and finishers, and installed by the same team that built it. One workshop, one team, one standard — from sketch to sit-down.

Our Team
Alaa El Halaby
Alaa founded Cedars in 2011 to bring true bespoke craftsmanship to Qatar’s interiors market — built, not assembled. He leads the studio’s direction across custom fit-outs, joinery, and furniture, with a working eye for material pairings, proportion, and the finer details that define a finished space: timber grain matched across a run of cabinetry, hardware specified to suit the room, finishes resolved before they reach site. He stays close to every residential and hospitality commission across Qatar and the wider GCC, and keeps design, fabrication, finishing, and installation under one roof — no subcontracting, no compromises.
Imen Kammoun
Imen runs the financial side of Cedars, from project costing and procurement to long-term planning. She makes sure the numbers behind every bespoke commission hold up — that timber, hardware, and labour are accounted for honestly, and that clients get clear, defensible quotes. Her background in finance keeps the workshop steady through projects of every scale, from a single fitted wardrobe to a full hotel fit-out.
Ehsan Khattar
Ehsan manages the project delivery pipeline — from initial brief through final site handover. He works between the design studio and workshop, keeping timelines, budgets, and specifications aligned across custom fit-outs, joinery commissions, and furniture projects in Doha and across Qatar. His background in construction and fit-out coordination means he catches details early, tracks material flows, and makes sure every installation lands as specified.
Selma Tchier
Selma specializes in bespoke interiors, custom furniture, and fit-out solutions, creating designs that blend functionality with timeless aesthetics. She focuses on thoughtful material selection, joinery detailing, and refined finishes to bring every concept to life. Working closely with craftsmen and project teams, she ensures every detail reflects Cedars’ commitment to precision, quality, and tailored craftsmanship.
Reem El Samani
Reem Al Samani is an Interior Designer at Cedars Trading & Contracting, specializing in bespoke interiors, custom furniture, and fit-out solutions. She combines creativity with precision to deliver functional, timeless designs, working closely with clients and the production team to ensure every detail reflects Cedars’ commitment to quality craftsmanship and tailored design.
Hani Alkoly
Hani specifies the finishing layer — accessories, soft furnishings, and decorative accents that turn a fitted room into a complete space. He works methodically, studying the existing palette, light conditions, and how the space is used before making recommendations. Across residential and hospitality projects in Qatar, he understands how Gulf climate and cultural context shape what works.
