These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Site, your communications with us, and any quotation, order, or service agreement you enter into with Cedars. By accessing the Site or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site or our services.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use of the Site. In particular, you agree:

Not to use the Site in any way that breaches applicable Qatari or international laws or regulations.
Not to use the Site to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional material, or spam.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at our discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, images, photographs, designs, drawings, logos, trademarks, video, audio, and software — is owned by Cedars or our licensors and is protected by Qatari and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Specifically:

Project images and case studies on the Site are owned by Cedars and may not be reproduced or used without our prior written consent.
Designs, drawings, and concepts produced by Cedars for a client during the design stage remain the intellectual property of Cedars unless transferred in writing through a separate agreement.
The “Cedars” name, logo, and brand identity are trademarks of Cedars Trading & Contracting and may not be used without permission.

You may view, download, and print content from the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use requires our prior written consent.

4. Products and Services

Cedars provides bespoke custom furniture, custom interior design, joinery, upholstery, fit-out, flooring, glass and mirror, outdoor decor, and related services across Qatar.

4.1 Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that information on the Site — including images, descriptions, dimensions, materials, and finishes — is accurate. However:

Bespoke and custom-made products may vary slightly from images or samples due to the handmade nature of the work.
Natural materials (wood, stone, leather, fabric) carry natural variation in grain, colour, and texture. This variation is a feature of the material, not a defect.
Product specifications, finishes, and availability may change without notice.
Colours displayed on the Site may differ from actual products due to monitor and screen settings. Final colour selection should always be confirmed against physical samples.

4.2 Custom Furniture & Bespoke Orders

All bespoke and custom-made orders are governed by an individual quotation, contract, or service agreement signed between Cedars and the client. The terms of that agreement take precedence over these general Terms. A bespoke order typically includes:

A detailed itemised quotation listing materials, dimensions, and finishes.
Shop drawings and physical samples for client approval before production begins.
Agreed lead times, payment milestones, and delivery dates.
Specifications for warranty, aftercare, and any third-party manufacturer warranties.

5. Quotations and Pricing

Quotations issued by Cedars are valid for the period specified on the quotation (typically 30 days) unless otherwise agreed in writing. After this period, prices may be subject to revision based on material costs, exchange rates, and operational factors.

Quotations are inclusive of design, materials, manufacturing, finishing, delivery, and installation as specified, but may exclude:

Items or services not explicitly listed in the quotation.
Variations or additional work requested after quotation acceptance.
Government taxes, duties, or fees imposed after the quotation date.
Third-party costs (e.g. specialist hardware, imported materials) where flagged in the quotation.

Once accepted, the quotation forms part of the contract between Cedars and the client. Any changes to the agreed scope, materials, or finishes will be documented as a variation, priced separately, and require written approval before being carried out.

6. Payment Terms

Standard payment terms for Cedars projects are as follows, unless otherwise agreed in writing:

A deposit is payable on contract signature before design work begins.
Further milestone payments are typically due on shop-drawing approval, manufacturing commencement, and pre-installation.
Final balance is due on completion and handover.

Payment schedules, methods, and amounts will be specified in your individual quotation or contract. We accept bank transfers, cheques, and other methods agreed in writing. Late payments may attract interest and may delay delivery, manufacturing, or installation milestones until the outstanding amount is settled.

7. Lead Times and Delivery

Lead times indicated on quotations or in correspondence are good-faith estimates based on typical workshop programmes. Actual delivery dates depend on:

Timeliness of client approvals, sample sign-offs, and payment milestones.
Site readiness and coordination with other trades or contractors.
Material availability, particularly for imported or specialist items.
External factors beyond Cedars’ control (force majeure, shipping delays, etc.).

We make every effort to meet agreed delivery dates and will communicate proactively if any delay is foreseen. Delivery and installation are carried out within Qatar by our in-house teams; international delivery, where applicable, is quoted separately.

8. Installation and Site Access

For projects involving site installation, the client is responsible for:

Providing safe, clean, and unobstructed access to the installation site.
Confirming the site is ready for installation — walls completed, electrical and plumbing first-fix in place, adjacent trades cleared — as agreed in the programme.
Obtaining any building permissions, access permits, or security clearances required for our team to enter the site.
Providing electrical power, water, and basic site facilities as needed for installation.

Where site conditions prevent installation as scheduled — for example, an unprepared substrate, blocked access, or incomplete services — additional costs may be incurred and rescheduling will be agreed in writing.

9. Warranty and Aftercare

Cedars provides a defects warranty on all custom-made products and installation work, typically twelve (12) months from handover, unless otherwise specified in your contract. The warranty covers:

Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Frame construction, joinery integrity, upholstery, and finishes.
Installation defects, including alignment, sealing, and fixing issues.

The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear, including fading, scuffing, and minor surface marks consistent with use.
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper cleaning.
Damage caused by alteration, repair, or modification by parties other than Cedars.
Natural variation in materials (wood grain, leather hide, stone veining) which is inherent to the material.
Damage caused by extreme environmental conditions outside the product’s intended use.

Manufacturer warranties on supplied hardware, electrical components, and third-party items are passed through to the client with documentation at handover. Aftercare, repairs, and reupholstery work outside the warranty period are available on a quotation basis.

10. Cancellation and Returns

Because Cedars products are bespoke and made to order, cancellation and return policies are as follows:

Quotations may be cancelled at any time before acceptance, at no cost.
Once a contract is signed and the deposit paid, cancellation may result in forfeiture of the deposit, plus any costs incurred up to the point of cancellation (design fees, sample procurement, material orders, etc.).
Once production has begun, full payment may be required, as bespoke pieces cannot be resold.
Returns are not accepted on bespoke or custom-made items unless the product is defective or does not match the agreed specification.

Defective items will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion, in line with the warranty terms above.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Cedars’ total liability under any contract is limited to the total contract value of that project.
Cedars is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of use.
Cedars is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
Cedars is not liable for any damage caused by improper use, modification, or maintenance of our products by the client or third parties.

Nothing in these Terms limits Cedars’ liability for death, personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Qatari law.

12. Force Majeure

Cedars is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, strikes, pandemics, shipping delays, or material shortages. In such cases, performance obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event, and timelines extended accordingly.

13. Privacy

Our use of personal information collected through the Site or in the course of providing services is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at cedars.qa/privacy-policy. By using the Site or engaging our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with that policy.

14. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, or services. Cedars is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or operations of any third-party sites. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

15. Changes to These Terms

Cedars reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site or engagement of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any contract or relationship between you and Cedars, are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Qatar, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
