Project Overview

Apple Butter is a contemporary restaurant destination in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where interior design plays a central role in shaping the guest experience. The project called for a bespoke furniture package that would support the restaurant’s design concept while delivering the durability required for daily hospitality operations.

Cedars Trading & Contracting was commissioned to deliver custom furniture for the project — manufactured, finished, and supplied from our workshop. The furniture package included dining tables, dining chairs, banquette seating, lounge seating, feature furniture, and supporting interior elements developed specifically for the restaurant. Every component was produced to complement the overall design language while meeting the operational requirements of a busy restaurant environment.

The Brief

Hospitality projects place unique demands on furniture. The brief from Apple Butter’s design team focused on creating a furniture package that would achieve the following:

Our Approach

Cedars handled the project through an integrated process covering shop drawings, material selection, manufacturing, finishing, quality control, and delivery coordination. Furniture Manufacturing

The restaurant’s furniture package included a variety of custom-manufactured pieces designed specifically for the project. Tables, chairs, banquette seating, and feature furniture were produced to match the interior design vision while meeting hospitality-grade performance standards.

Each item was fabricated using carefully selected materials and construction methods appropriate for high-traffic restaurant environments. Particular attention was given to proportions, detailing, joinery, and finishing to ensure consistency throughout the venue.

Material Selection & Finishing

Material selection played an important role in achieving the desired balance between aesthetics and functionality. Multiple material finishes were incorporated across the furniture package, creating visual depth while maintaining cohesion throughout the space.

Throughout production, samples and finish approvals were carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with the project’s design requirements. Final finishes were selected not only for appearance but also for durability, maintenance requirements, and suitability for hospitality use.

Quality Control & Production

Hospitality furniture must withstand continuous daily use without compromising comfort or appearance. To achieve this, Cedars implemented quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process, including dimensional checks, construction inspections, finish verification, and final assembly reviews.

Every furniture component underwent inspection prior to delivery to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality expectations.
